An armed bandit fled with a small amount of cash after robbing a Lefroy gas station early Tuesday morning.

A man brandishing a handgun entered the Killarney Beach Road gas station at about 5:20 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk, according to South Simcoe Police.

The bandit was handed some cash and fled the store, heading north on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male white, approximately 18 to 22 years of age, five feet nine inches to six feet tall, with a slim build.

He was wearing dark blue jeans, a black hoodie, and a baseball hat. Anyone with information is asked to call the South Simcoe Police Service at 705-436-2141 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. They can also leave an anonymous tip on-line at www.1800222tips.com.
