Woman stabbed in face

A 57-year-old Innisfil man was arrested Monday night after a 30-year-old Orillia woman was stabbed in the face in an Alcona home.
The woman was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital, where she received several stitches to close the wounds.
According to South Simcoe Police, the woman was stabbed after she stepped in to break up an altercation between the man and his son-in-law at about 7 p.m.
The Innisfil man is charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon. He was held for a bail hearing.
