Two crashes send five to hospital

Two separate collisions on Innisfil roads Thursday (March 20) sent five people to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The first crash occurred at about 8:30 a.m. at Sideroad 20 and Conc. 5. Two vehicles were involved in the collision, which led to two people being taken to Royal Victoria Hospital by ambulance.
Innisfil firefighters extricated one person from a badly damaged car by using the ‘Jaws of Life’.
The second crash of the day occurred at County Road 27 and Innisfil Beach Road at about 2:55 p.m.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision and three of the five occupants were transported by ambulance to Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie with non-life threatening injuries.
Both collisions are still under investigation.
