The Innisfil Lakers have moved on to the semi-final series in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League after beating the Richmond Hill Rams 6-4 at the new recreation complex Friday.
Innisfil won the first three games but let Richmond Hill back into the series after the Rams took the next three games.
The Lakers were plagued with illness to several key players during their three loses. But with their backs the wall, the Innisfil players persevered at home to win game seven.
The Lakers now face the Temiscaming Royals. The first game will be played in Temiscaming Sunday (March 16) at 2:30 p.m.
