A 27-year-old Innisfil man was charged with racing after police clocked his vehicle travelling more than 100 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on the 25th Sideroad near Con. 10 in Alcona Friday (March 7).
The driver was pulled over while police were conducting radar checks from the side of the road.
The driver was charged with racing under a new provincial law because he was travelling more than 50 km/h above the posted speed limit. His driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and his car was impounded for seven days under the new law.
