Driver found asleep at the wheel

South Simcoe Police charged a 27-year-old Innisfil man with impaired care and control of a motor vehicle after he was found slumped over the steering wheel of his running car while it was stopped at the side of the road.
Police were called to Conc. 10 west of Sideroad 5 after a motorist reported a vehicle stopped on the side of the road that was partially blocking westbound traffic Friday (March 7).
Police woke up the driver and took him to the North Division in Barclay where he provided a breath sample.
The man was released into the care of his mother after his driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days. He is schedule to appear in Bradford Court April 10.
