Council turns to confrontation

City Council has decided, once again, to “solve” a problem by confrontation.

It seems they’ve learned nothing from the Park Place fiasco. To date, we have ongoing confrontations with the County, Innisfil, and now Northern Ethanol.

This council has had plenty of time to do their due diligence on the ethanol facility and it shouldn't take a year. Now, they come up with another delay tactic even though the city is already under advisement with respect to an OMB hearing about their last delay tactic.

Coun. Ramsay says cost is not an issue. I think it's important that taxpayers know how much a certain litigious item could cost, never mind the expense of the high-priced environmental lawyers that go along with it.

Coun. Strachan is the only sane voice in the wilderness. Unfortunately, no one else on council listened.
