Rethink commercial zoning near lake

Are you aware that our Mayor and Council are making plans to perhaps change the zoning of Innisfil Beach Road from the 25th Sideroad to Lake Simcoe to commercial?
There was only one meeting in September about this.  Very few were there. There needs to be much more public input.
Our park would no longer be a neighborhood park, for those without a beach and water to enjoy. A place to put your boat in the water. A place for our children and grandchildren to play. Our park would be extremely busy throughout the warm weather months.  Innisfil Beach Park is not large, probably about 25 acres as compared with Earl Bales Park in North York that is about 240 acres.  Do we want to share our park with the world?
The water will become extremely stressed with body fluids from the swimmers and will hinder the water quality all along the shores of Lake Simcoe to the north and south.  Would water born disease happen?   It could  because of all the pollution Lake Simcoe has already been contending with. Lake Ontario beaches seem to be closed so often, due to high bacteria counts. Lake Simcoe is a tiny lake compared with Lake Ontario and the other great lakes.
Lakelands and Adams Avenues will be busy thoroughfares for cars. The present country and cottage atmosphere will stop.
Because of a few, the whole community will be inconvenienced. Our property values will be questionable. Some will have to move or feel they are being pushed out.
Our Mayor and council have their positions because the people of Innisfil voted for them.  This is an honour not to be taken lightly. Their job is to rule for the common good of the people.
Innisfil residents we urge you to get in touch with your Mayor and Council and let your voice be heard.  The Council wishes to have this settled by the end of November 2009.
