A South Simcoe Police officer impounded a Chrysler Intrepid Wednesday after they discovered the driver of the vehicle had his licence suspended for life.
A 51-year-old Aurora man is charged with Driving While Disqualified, Driving While Under Suspension, Driving Without Insurance and Using Plates Not Authorized.
The driver was pulled over on County Road 27 south of Thornton for a traffic infraction, police say.
After the driver verbally identified himself, police discovered the man had his licence taken away for life following 14 impaired driving convictions dating back to 1983.
He will appear in Bradford Provincial Court June 25. His vehicle was also seized under the province’s Vehicle Impoundment Program.
