Mayor Brian Jackson sees more than just baseball diamonds, soccer pitches and walking trails as part of the new Town Hall/recreational centre campus.

If he has his way, a medical/professional building would become part of the overall development of the property, located on Yonge Street south of Innisfil Beach Road.

At last week’s Council meeting, Jackson said he intends to bring forward a motion to see if his fellow politicians would support seeking out a private sector partner to build a facility that would house a variety of medical professionals on a parcel of land just south of the soccer fields.

“If my motion gains Council support, I would be interested in seeing if we could find someone willing to work with us if we made land available, at little, or no cost,” Jackson said. “It’s an opportunity. We want to look at lots of options.”
