It didn’t take long for a driver to ignore his licence suspension Tuesday.
South Simcoe Police stopped a 44-year-old man for a noisy muffler in Bradford and discovered his licence was under suspension, but he hadn’t been notified by the Ministry of Transportation yet.
The officer served the suspension notice while arrangements were made for a relative to pick up the man’s car.
In the meantime, the officer was called to investigate another incident. When he returned, both the car and driver had left.
But they weren’t out of sight for long.
At about 1:30 a.m. police spotted the car travelling north on Highway 400 near Innisifl Beach Road.
This time, the man was charged with driving under suspension and had his vehicle was towed from the scene.
