A disturbing amount of counterfeit $100 bills are showing up in Innisfil, South Simcoe Police say.
Police have seized 11 fake $100 bills in 18 days.
The latest phony money was discovered at an Innisfil bank on Monday.
Bank employees uncovered a counterfeit $100 bill after it had been deposited into an account. The account holder didn’t realize it was fake, and couldn’t recall how it came into his possession, police say.
Police recommend keeping track of where you receive large denomination bills.
