Local teen dies in hospital

Tyler Kuin, 18, died in hospital Wednesday following a crash on Highway 400 Tuesday.

An 18-year-old Innisfil boy is dead after a serious car crash Tuesday.

Aurora OPP said Tyler Kuin died Wednesday night from his injuries. He was on life support with serioius injuries after he collided with a transport truck on Highway 400.

Police said the teen was driving northbound in a Ford Fusion at 11 a.m. It was pouring rain and as he changed lanes, he lost control of the vehicle.

His car hit the tractor-trailer, then sideswiped a van. The driver of the van, a 69-year-old Hamilton man, was killed. A passenger in the van had minor injuries.
