The Ontario Provincial Police has re-arrested one of the three Toronto-area men charged in the crash last summer that resulted in the death of an Innisfil truck driver.
Prabhjit Multani was taken into custody Friday at the OPP’s Toronto Detachment. One of his bail conditions on the original charges calls for him to report to the OPP weekly.
David Virgoe, 48, was killed June 18 when he was clipped by a driver far exceeding the speed limit up Highway 400.
Multani has been charged with breach of his recognizance of bail. He will be held in Barrie cells overnight and then will appear by video remand Saturday in Newmarket court.
Nauman Nusrat, 21, pleaded guilty April 14 to criminal negligence by way of street racing causing death, driving without insurance and having forged insurance documents. He remains in custody and will be sentenced in Barrie court on June 3.
Multani and the third accused, Ravi Badhwar, are awaiting trial on the original charges. They are back in Barrie court the week of June 23 for a preliminary hearing.
